Eric Brent Courtney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Brent Courtney of North Sydney on February 23, 2026 at the age of 64.

Born in North Sydney, on August 7, 1961, Brent was predeceased by his parents, Eric and Jessie Courtney and his sisters Alma Kent and Frances Chisholm.

Brent is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Erica (Colton) and Lindsay (Sam), his cherished grandchildren Lily, Izzie, and Addie. His cat Cat-E, as well as his many beloved grand-fur-babies.

Brent had a strong passion for working on and painting cars. He enjoyed watching the drag races throughout the Maritimes, as well as fishing and "Sunday Drives". Known for always joking and carrying on, he brought laughter and memorable quotes that won’t be forgotten. "Boogeydah"

Private family gathering to be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall.
